In June 2006, members of the New Braunfels High School varsity baseball team captured the 4A state championship. The team is coached by Doug Edwards.

Athletes Kaylea Box and Alexis Alexander made it to the 2006 UIL State Track and Field Meet in Austin May 12-13. Box finished sixth in the 4A girls pole vault. Alexis Alexander finished eighth after running a time of 2:24.77.

In November 2005, members of the New Braunfels High School varsity volleyball team captured the 4A state championship. The team is coached by Phyllis Fowler.












Sophomore Ashley Turpin was named 4A state UIL tennis champion. Also placing at state: P.J. Hendrie, Sarah Septien, Rusty Turpin. Coach is David Mueller.

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has released the update for the 2007-2008 Texas Dodge Dealers Lone Star CupTM. Honoring the best overall athletic and academic programs in Texas.

One school in each of the five UIL classifications (5A, 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A) will claim the coveted Cup. High schools accumulated points based on their team performance in district and state championships. Standings include: State and Area Marching Band, Team Tennis, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Volleyball and Football.
