Student Council
Student Council fosters an environment for all NBMS students to express and exchange opinions and ideas, develop leadership skills, promote student service and encourage active citizenship. Membership  is open to all students.
 
 

N.J.H.S. (National Junior Honor Society)
N.J.H.S. strives to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to motivate students to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage citizenship in all students. Students selected are honored for having demonstrated excellence in these areas.
 
 

C.I.S. (Communities in Schools)
C.I.S. provides an opportunity for a one-to-one relationship with a caring adult, a safe place to learn and grow, health care education, marketable skills to use after graduation, and a chance to give back to peers and the community.
 
 

F.C.A. (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)
The purpose of F.C.A. is to present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of serving the Lord in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church. F.C.A. is an athletic ministry, its primary membership being athletes and coaches. It is an influencing ministry, using athletics as its platform and athletes and coaches as its role models and spokespersons to reach the world influenced by athletics.

Academic Competitions
The Academic Competitions groups represent NBMS in various types of Academic Competition. These students are representative of the academic excellence of NBMS to the community and other schools. Academic Competitions range from Creative Problem Solving (formerly Odyssey of the Mind) to Knowledge Masters    (a computer-based competition) to Academic U.I.L.'s eleven competition events (math, spelling, geography, science, public speaking, debate, editorial writing, calculator skills, dictionary skills, listening skills and ready writing). Membership is open to all students.
