High student achievement in math is a priority among educators in our district. It is important that students in our district learn the number basics in order to continue a joy and appreciation of learning math.

To help parents get involved, New Braunfels ISD created a weekly show called Math Connections to guide the way of incorporating math in the home. The show will focus on the early concepts of number computation and targets lessons in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Show host Bonnie Leitch will take you in the classroom of a different grade level and explain how teachers and students tackle learning math. Each elementary campus in the district is participating for one month on the show.

The program will also show parents fun games and activities to engage children in learning math at home. Coordinating worksheets are available with each show lesson.
