GRADING POLICY:

| DAILY WORK in the form of notes, examples, and problems checked in class. The grade on daily work includes credit for showing and accurately checking your work. Work not completed in class will be considered as homework. | |||||||||||
| QUIZZES are done the first 5 minutes of class from the overhead. Two grades are given each week. One weekly grade is given for the answers, which are turned in each day before the problems are discussed. The second grade is given at the end of the week when students turn in their work for the week's quizzes. This grade is completion based. | |||||||||||
| HOMEWORK work not completed in class and checked the next day. Much of this grade is for completion of the assignment. Work must be done for full credit. | |||||||||||
| TESTS are usually given on Friday over material covered that week. These are usually multiple choice. | |||||||||||
| Grades will be affected for Not Following Instructions (NFI) and Not Showing Work (NSW). Credit will be given for the work shown, as well as the answer on most assignments! | |||||||||||
| ABSENTEES will have 2 school days to make up missed work. Students are responsible for getting any missed assignment, completing it, and getting it turned in. | |||||||||||
| AVERAGES are available online, and normally posted in the classroom on Monday (by student number in class rank order). | |||||||||||
