About Me

Thiry-two years!!! Yes, this begins my thirty-second year of teaching. I began teaching at NBMS after graduating from SWT with a BS in Education specializing in mathematics. During my years at NBMS I taught 7th and 8th grade literature and grammar, computer literacy, and 6th, 7th and 8th grade mathematics. Because I enjoyed working with sixth graders and teaching mathematics, I moved to OakRun when it opened and have been here ever since.

Although many people believe that teaching is my life, I do balance my teaching life with my own family and my hobbies. I have three grown children (Jeff, Jennifer and Jared) and my three loving grandchildren (Trevor, Noah and Hayley).In my spare time, I read and quilt.
