Mighty Unicorns
In June 2006, members of the New Braunfels High School varsity baseball team
captured the 4A state championship. The team is coached by Doug Edwards.
Athletes Kaylea Box and Alexis Alexander made it to the 2006 UIL State Track and
Field Meet in Austin May 12-13. Box finished sixth in the 4A girls pole vault.
Alexis Alexander finished eighth after running a time of 2:24.77.
In November 2005, members of the New Braunfels High School varsity volleyball
team captured the 4A state championship. The team is coached by Phyllis Fowler.
Sophomore Ashley Turpin was named 4A state UIL tennis champion. Also placing at
state: P.J. Hendrie, Sarah Septien, Rusty Turpin. Coach is David Mueller.
