Graduating from Canyon High School in 1993, Mr. Arnold was twice named to the TMEA All State Band as well as Outstanding Soloist at the UIL State Solo & Ensemble contest. After graduation, Mr. Arnold attended the University of Texas at Arlington .  He was in the UTA Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Competitive Drumline.  The Competitive Drumline placed 3rd at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) at Columbus, OH in 1993.  He studied with Ray Lichtenwalter and Michael Varner.
Mr. Arnold marched in the snare line of DCI World Finalist Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps from Denver, CO in the Summer of 1997.  He had the opportunity to study with DCI Hall of Fame member Ralph Hardimon and Rick Rodriguez.
Mr. Arnold completed his degree in the Spring of 2002 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Before coming to NBISD, Mr. Arnold was an assistant band director at Smithson Valley High School.
Mr. Arnold is married to Moni Arnold, who is a teacher at Comal Elementary .  They have a daughter and a son who share their parents' attention with two dogs and two cats.
